In the heart of Bryan, Texas, a remarkable nonprofit organization called MrsRosesBabies has emerged as a beacon of hope and opportunity for local youth. Founded in 2023 by Rose Thompson, lovingly known as “Auntie” by the children she serves, MrsRosesBabies is dedicated to expanding the horizons of ambitious young people aged 6 to 13. Rose, a devoted mother of three, has made it her mission to provide experiences that inspire and empower youth to set goals beyond their current environment.
Every week, Auntie Rose opens the doors of MrsRosesBabies for after-school tutorials, held three times a week. Here, children gather to work on their studies, receive homework help, and discover the joy of learning. With the dedicated support of Mr. Paul, who assists during these sessions, the children gain confidence in their academic abilities and learn to embrace challenges with enthusiasm.
But the heart of MrsRosesBabies extends beyond the classroom. The organization organizes enriching weekend outings, exposing the youth to a world of possibilities through college trips, museum visits, and cultural experiences. For many of the children, these adventures are eye-opening moments, where they can envision futures that go beyond their daily lives. As they walk through college campuses and explore the wonders of museums, they learn to dream bigger and aspire to achieve more.
One shining example of MrsRosesBabies' impact occurred during a college trip when a young boy exclaimed, “Auntie, I want to be an engineer one day!” Moments like these highlight the organization's purpose—showing children that with guidance and opportunities, their dreams can become reality.
MrsRosesBabies is more than just a program; it’s a community where children are nurtured and supported. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, it relies on the generosity of donors and community members to continue its mission.
This November 29, the organization is hosting the Bright Future Gala, a special event designed to raise funds for future programs and outings.
