Local students learn about starting a small business from minority entrepreneurs

Imagine your goals: SHIFT believes young people will enjoy more success if they develop a solid entrepreneurial mindset at a young age.

During the summer of 2016 SHIFT Enterprise Academy hosted a youth entrepreneur workshop. At the workshop students ranging from 3rd-6th grade asked questions about owning a small business while also hearing feel good stories about handwork and dedication. This event was in partnership with the Neal Rec Center, Brazos Valley African American Heritage Museum, and HELP Educational Consulting.
