GEAR-UP and Team SHIFT engage students about setting life goals

Help your family: SHIFT after school program addresses the challenge of integrating immigrant children and youth into their new societies.

The first in-school SHIFT Enterprise Academy partnership was with GEAR-UP. Through a grant provided by Texas A&M University SHIFT Enterprise Academy recruited ten students from Bryan High School and Rudder High School in Bryan, Texas. For five consecutive weeks students from Bryan High School met for 60 minutes to learn and discuss the pillars of SHIFT. On Wednesdays, students from Rudder High School met to learn the pillars. The uniqueness about the Rudder class is that all ten enterprisers are English as Second Language students within Bryan ISD.
