SHIFT Enterprise Academy, Inc is a Texas based 501c3 not for profit organization. We began as a personal development and college preparedness program in 2011, operating as Team SHIFT. We later rebranded and incorporated as SHIFT Enterprise Academy, Inc in 2017.

A coalition of people and organizations helping the African diaspora define their own idea of success with a plan to achieve it.
OUR MISSION
We identify young leaders and help them develop the mindset of an entrepreneur for the purpose of solving problems in their community.
k-12tutors needed
The 2022-2023 school year is right around the corner. SHIFT Enterprise Academy is seeking 5-10 volunteers to join our US team. We primarily need people who can rotate during after school tutoring at the North Bryan Community Center in Bryan, Texas.
We also have virtual volunteer opportunities for our "Launching into E-Commerce" program. Please submit an interest form below to be considered.
Who is most likely to benefit from SHIFT Enterprise Academy, "Launching into E-Commerce" professional education?
"Launching into E-Commerce" is a five part interactive lecture series designed to help Enterprisers solve problems in their own community using the "SHIFT Approach."
Launching into E-Commerce primarily serves youth and young adults age 16-24 in the North America and 18-30 in Africa.

NuNu Fund
After joining the pilot of our SHIFT Ventures program, Albert used the mentorship and weekly meet ups to secure more funding for his business. NuNu fund is a unique fintech model that pays schools fees for over 1,200 students in Western Uganda.
Guilaine Bayubasire
WoSWIFT
Guilaine, a refugee from DR Congo was struggling to find motivation when she joined SHIFT in April 2023. Through our skill development workshops and mentorship, she gained the skills needed to find new markets for her hand made designer bags. Today, she’s building her business slowly, but surely and inspiring others by teaching them the art of stitching.

Zebraville
With our support, Joel launched Zebraville in 2021 after winning the pitch competition for our pilot course, "Launching into E-Commerce." Zebraville is now supporting small businesses through branding and storytelling, and Joel is a mentor to many creatives in Eastern Uganda.
Victoria Auma
Recent Graduate
Victoria joined SHIFT during the summer of 2024 as a member of our first Youth Innovation Challenge cohort. She also doubles as intern where she is learning valuable and transferable soft skills that will aid her in her law career. She has a dream of opening a school in Uganda that will cater to the unique needs of Albino people.
