Help your family: SHIFT after school program addresses the challenge of integrating immigrant children and youth into their new societies. The first in-school SHIFT Enterprise Academy partnership was with GEAR-UP. Through a grant provided by Texas A&M University SHIFT Enterprise Academy recruited ten students from Bryan High School and Rudder High School in Bryan, Texas. For five consecutive weeks students from Bryan High School met for 60 minutes to learn and discuss the pillars of SHIFT. On Wednesdays, students from Rudder High School met to learn the pillars. As part of the 2012 book tour for “5 Proven Strategies on How to Pay for College,” SHIFT Enterprise Academy founder, Ethan Brisby visited two East Coast youth programs. The first stop was High School, Inc, a college preparatory and Insurance and Finance Academy in Hartford, Connecticut. Using the SHIFT pillar, Save your Money, Brisby and the students discussed proven methods to pay for their college education.
